Managing director Nonthiwat Prabhananda said last week the company faced cost pressures, mainly for cocktail ingredients, which come from all over the world, but companies still have to hold events to promote brand awareness while people still want to arrange parties such as weddings.

The two-year-old firm offers cocktail training and consulting for corporate customers, advising them in designing cocktail menus for their events and their hotels and restaurants as well as teaching cocktail ingredients and mixing knowledge and selling strategies.

Besides local clients some are from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

The firm also does cocktail catering, featuring bar arrangement service for activities ranging from private parties with 10 guests to big events with 5,000, such as hotel and product launches and social gatherings.

Its catering customers come from both the private and public sectors, with business evenly split between local and international customers.

It also runs Flow Caffe to try out new cocktail menus and stock all ingredients as well as prepare menus for events.

Looking ahead, the company wants to become part of fashion shows and work harder on telling organisers and customers about the importance of cocktail menus, as many event participants complained that the drinks weren't as impressive as the entertainment programmes.

Flow Cocktail had Bt11 million in revenue last year and expects to achieve Bt20 million this year.

The company doesn't have any direct competitor but faces many indirect competitors, including hotels and restaurants with catering services and other small private catering services, Nonthiwat added.
