Steel-works trade a family affair

Permsin Steel Works' biggest shareholder, the Youngvongpaiboon family, last week sold 120 million shares for Bt360 million in a big-lot trade to the Suteerachai family, now the second largest shareholder.

The company told the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the move was aimed at diversifying from sheets, coils and packaging to cans. The Suteerachai family has been in the can-producing industry for years. 

BBL in Singapore

Resorts World at Sentosa recently completed the syndication of 4-billion-Singapore-dollar (Bt93-billion) credit facilities for its integrated resort project, closing one of Singapore's largest loans.

Ten banks participated in the syndication, with Bangkok Bank as one of the expanded mandated lead arrangers. 

 

Naza Forza is hot

Naza Corp said last week that at the urging of Yontrakit Motor Sales, production of cars for the Thai market would be increased after 542 orders were placed there for the 1.1L Naza Forza since its recent debut, the Bernama news agency reported.

At Bt349,000, the car is the most affordable new model in the market.
