Canizares, Albelda and Angulo to return for troubled Valencia

Madrid (dpa) - Troubled Spanish giants Valencia announced on Sunday morning that Santiago Canizares, David Albelda and Miguel Angel Angulo are all included in the squad for Sunday's crucial game at home to Osasuna.

This trio of veterans has been out of action since December 18, when then coach Ronald Koeman controversially told them that he would not pick them again.

Koeman was sacked last Sunday - despite having won the King's Cup - with Valencia sixth from bottom in La Liga.

New coach Voro has taken the popular decision to bring back the veterans, who have been training on their own since December.

Canizares, 38, is likely to be the first-choice keeper against Osasuna, since Timo Hildebrand and Juan Luis Mora are both injured.

Albelda and Angulo, both 30, will probably start the game on the bench.

Valencia have 39 points from 33 games. Osasuna, for their part, are seventh from bottom with 40 points.
