Thai Agri invests in Mexican joint venture

Thai Agri Foods will set up a joint venture in Mexico called Uni-Eagle with the Banyan Group by investing Bt25.6 million in exchange for a 40-per-cent stake in the new company.



   Uni-Eagle will produce and sell seasoning sauce products.

   Thai Agri said in a statement that the new investment would support the expansion of its production base and new markets in other countries. - The Nation

PTT and Bangchak

PTT and Bangchak Petroleum are raising diesel prices 50 satang a litre, bringing diesel to Bt32.94, or 50-satang cheaper than other companies.

   PTT president Prasert Bunsumpun said oil prices would remain high on the unstable US dollar. Retail prices are Bt1 to Bt2 per litre cheaper than ex-refinery prices.

   Dubai crude oil rose to US$107.90 (Bt3,400) per barrel yesterday, while refined diesel reached $144.33. - The Nation

AIS and Osmep

Advanced Info Service (AIS) is teaming up with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (Osmep) to offer communications services to Osmep members.

   Osmep has 40,000 SME members, of which 10 per cent are expected to apply for AIS services under the AIS-Osmep collaboration, which will terminate at the end of this year. - The Nation

 

KCE to expand PCB

KCE has established a subsidiary, KCE (Thailand), to expand its sales and marketing of printed-circuit-board products in Thailand in response to rising demand, the parent company said in a filing with the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday.

   KCE (Thailand) has registered capital of Bt3.6 million with a 40-per-cent joint investment by Ihara Electronic Industries, its sales representative in Japan.

New IRPC chairman

IRPC has appointed Mongkhol Ampornpisit as chairman, effective this past Tuesday.

   The company appointed Aree Wongsearaya as second vice chairman, along with seven authorised directors: Mongkhol, Pala Sukhavej, Piti Yimprasert, Prasert Bunsumpun, Prajya Phinyawat, Virabongsa Ramangkura, Visit Tantisunthorn. - The Nation
