The petition on Chaiya's qualifications filed at the Constitution Court

The senatorial petition on the qualifications of Public Health Minister Chaiya Sasomsap is to be lodged with the Constitution Court in the afternoon, Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondet said on Monday.

The petition, endorsed by a group of 39 senators, has asked for a judicial review whether Chaiya is still fit to serve after the National Counter Corruption Commission has found him to have violated the cap on five per cent equity stakes.
