Bangkok Airways leases two aircraft

Local carrier Bangkok Airways has signed a US$37-million (Bt1.16 billion) contract with Aircraft International Renting to lease two ATR 72-500s.

The deal will boost the airline's ATR72-500 fleet to 10. Delivery of the two aeroplanes is scheduled for late this year and next.

The aircraft will be configured with 70 seats, which will increase total capacity of the ATR fleet to meet rising demand for air transport within Thailand and the region.

Heineken's leadership drive for Moscow

Global brewing giant Heineken will spend Bt80 million on its "Heineken: The Road to Moscow" campaign, to reinforce its premium-brand leadership. The campaign is on top of its sponsorship of the Uefa Champions League tournament.

Thai Asia Pacific Brewery commercial director Ronnie Teo said the unveiling of Heineken's unique initiative next Wednesday was sure to attract the public's attention and participation. Six members of HeiSociety, a club for Heineken lovers, will be randomly chosen to represent the brand in Moscow.
