Banharn appears cheerful after the EC hearing

Chart Thai Party leader Banharn Silapa-archa has appeared cheerful after testifying before the Election Commission relating to the electoral fraud punishable by party dissolution.

"I have explained everything fully to the EC," he said following the morning's hearing on Tuesday.

He said his party has complete its rebuttals and that the EC has promised him to review the fate of his party with fairness.

Chart Thai legal adviser Kasem Sorasakkasem said the main defence argument was that the electoral fraud committed by party executive Monthine Songpracha had no linkage to the party, hence it was unwarranted to seek a judicial review on whether punish the party by disbandment.
