Japan taps Thai entertainment

A Japanese delegation has arrived in Bangkok since April 7, looking for the possibility of buying the copyrights of Thai movies and songs, according to the Export Promotion Department.

Pramuk Montriwat, an official of the department, said that they are also seeking cooperation for joint movie production.

"This follows the Japan-Thai Economic Partnership Agreement which covers music and movies," he said.

The delegation will be in Bangkok until April 10.
