Worawoot Ounjai, managing director of OfficeMate, said the Intelligent Warehouse Management System comes with three solutions and includes a purchase order solution, a warehouse management module, a distribution channel and e-logistics module.
The system automatically pools information, starting with generating a purchase order using an online network and sending it to the back office. The back office is then able to manage orders and send information in real time to the distribution channel. The head office is also able to track the vehicle carrying the consignment via global positioning system (GPS).
Worawoot said the system can manage distribution in about 12 hours within Bangkok and metropolitan areas and the logistics cost is 3.6 per cent of the order. Using the system, the company can support 5,000 customers a day through the online catalogue purchasing system.
"We utilise intelligent warehouse management system to increase productivity and efficiency of our services. The system also helps us calculate and reduce the cost of logistics and operations," Worawoot said.
