"The competition among local organisers to stage big shows and concert
events as well as to secure broadcasting rights for world-class sports activi
ties is quite intense nowadays," managing director Brian Marcar said yester
day.
The US counterpart would hold a set ownership stake in BEC-Tero Entertain-ment.
"The synergy we will make with our American partner will give us greater convenience in bringing such big concerts and world class events to Thailand," he said.
While keeping the name confidential, Marcar said the deal should be finalised this year.
BEC-Tero Entertainment expects its revenues to increase 10-12 per cent to Bt1.3 billion-Bt1.4 billion this year, after realising growth of 10 per cent in the first quarter.
Revenues will be evenly split between producing television programmes and importing concerts and events.
"We will bring 15 to 16 major foreign concerts to Thailand this year, up from 11 to 12 concerts held by the company last year," Marcar said.
