What's your favourite day?

I have always had a thing about Friday. It's all about "anticipation". The working week is coming to an end and a free weekend stretches ahead. Well, this is not entirely true as I work most Saturdays too, but somehow Friday has a strong hint of future freedom about it.

What's your favourite day?

I really enjoy my work, which is challenging, stimulating and frequently entertaining, but we all long for the freedom of being away from a routine, of having time to ourselves, with no plans and appointments.

Coming back to anticipation, I wonder how it is with you? When you were a child and were sitting down to dinner, did you eat the things you liked best on your plate first or last?

You can neatly divide people into two groups: those who jump straight in and go for the good things first and the others, who eat the least enjoyable things first to lengthen the anticipation of the good things to come.

I was in the last group. Suffer the least pleasant things first to savour the better things later. Come to think of it - this is how I cope with Monday!!
