Suriyasai: political time bomb starts ticking

The People's Alliance for Democracy will set out measures on Wednesday to protest against the government's plan to amend the Constitution to whitewash outsed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies.

Suriyasai Katasila, PAD secretary general called as a "political time bomb'' the government whip's decision to amend some Articles of the Constitution to whitewash Thaksin and his supporters.

"We want to ask coalition parties if they have political conscience for giving the nod to the Constitution amendment that does not truely benefit the public,'' he said.
