PPP upbeat to rewrite the charter before court battle on party dissolution

The People Power Party is expected to file the motion on Wednesday for constitutional amendments endorsed by 96 government lawmakers, PPP MP Worawat Uaapinyakul said on Tuesday.

"The motion will be lodged with the Senate speaker who is the acting Parliament president to activate the rewrite proceedings," he said.

The charter rewrite will be under the deliberation of the joint HouseSenate session and is to complete in three months. The rewriting process should complete before the judicial review on party dissolution involving three coalition parties, PPP, Chart Thai and Matchima Thipataya.
