Brand manager Phongsakorn Vajirakashorn said the company expected sales growth to rise 8 per cent this year from its aggressive marketing budget, up 50 per cent from last year. The company recorded sales of about Bt492 million for car and home air freshener in 2007.
Phuket flights cut
Low-cost carriers Jetstar Asia and Tiger Airways are scaling back services to Phuket, increasing their number of flights to Indonesia, Vietnam and India instead.
Jetstar, which has trouble filling seats and sees better opportunities in the other markets, will stop flying to the Thai resort island from tomorrow. Tiger, citing inconsistent demand, said that from next week, it would fly only once a day to Phuket instead of twice daily.
SilkAir and Thai AirAsia do not plan to cut their flights to Phuket.
Green Rose Garden
In celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, the Rose Garden Riverside Resort will raise environmental standards and promote sustainable tourism.
"The environment is not only an immensely important issue for the Rose Garden, it but also very significant for the well-being of local tourism," said chairwoman Suchada Yuvaboon.
The measures ar e aimed at upgrading conferencing services, restaurants, accommodation and other facilities.
