Prem denies his involvement in the 2006 coup

Chief royal adviser General Prem Tinsulanonda on Wednesday dismissed speculation that he was involved in the seizure of power on September 19, 2006.

It was the first time Prem made a rebuttal in public. He said as president of the Privy Council, he was obliged to be politically neutral. He refused to comment on the political activities, including the move to amend the charter.
