KFC offers baked chicken
Yum Restaurants International (Thailand), the operator of KFC outlets, is investing Bt350 million on dryers to offer baked chicken to health-conscious diners.
According to Sran Smutkochorn, managing director, the company invested Bt350 million for the new product: Bt300 million on the baking machine and Bt50 million on research in the past three years.
It is the first time in 24 years that the fried chicken outlets offers baked chicken.
The product is introduced in Thailand as the third country, after China and Taiwan.
