AVIATION REFUELLING
BAFS witnesses lower refuelling demand
Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services Plc (BAFS) experienced a 4.9 per cent increase in aviation refuelling services in the first quarter, against the 5 per cent target, due to the lower number of flights.
Chatthaya Bandhaya, finance and account manager, attributed the lower-than-expected business to the slowing global economy which discourages travelling.
"The situation should improve in the second quarter, as the government should come up with new tourism promotion policies. This should boost travelling demand and help us achieve the refuelling services target," he said.
