Erawan Group to open budget hotel
The Erawan Group has acquired a site to develop a budget hotel named the Ibis Hua Hin in a bid to diversify its hotel portfolio into the economy segment.

The company yesterday said in a filing with the Stock Exchange of Thailand that it would spend about Bt385 million to build the 200-room hotel on land located in Hua Hin district, near the Chiva-Som International Health Resort. The opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2010.
