Mango madness

Sweet or sour, crunchy or juicy: When it comes to good mangoes, nowhere beats Bang Khla in Chachoengsao province. From March 26 to 30, farmers will host the Mango and Food Fair to boost the local flavour of the town. Nam Dok Mai, Fa Lan and a harvest of other oddly named varieties will be ripe for the eating - either cooked or raw. Triathlon in the Triangle

The riverside district of Chiang Saen in Chiang Rai will become a battleground for weekend warriors from March 28 to 30, the date set for the 2008 Mekong River Triathlon. The Golden Triangle will play host to international athletes competing in a series of running, cycling and swimming competitions. After racing, competitors and spectators get to relax with sightseeing on the Mekong.
