From March 26 to 30, farmers will host the Mango and Food Fair to boost the local flavour of the town. Nam Dok Mai, Fa Lan and a harvest of other oddly named varieties will be ripe for the eating - either cooked or raw. Triathlon in the Triangle
The riverside district of Chiang Saen in Chiang Rai will become a battleground for weekend warriors from March 28 to 30, the date set for the 2008 Mekong River Triathlon. The Golden Triangle will play host to international athletes competing in a series of running, cycling and swimming competitions. After racing, competitors and spectators get to relax with sightseeing on the Mekong.
