Prinsiri delays Pulse transfers

Property developer Prinsiri will delay the transfer of condominium units in its project The Pulse until August, hoping by then to have a construction licence.

Deputy managing director Namchai Vanapanubet told Krungthep Turakij he was confident the project would win environmental-impact-assessment approval, paving the way for a construction licence. If problems persist, the company is prepared to return down payments to buyers, plus compensation.

The first lot of units was to be transferred this May.

The property, which has two buildings, is in Phaholyothin Soi 37. Prinsiri has yet to receive a construction licence for the first building.

Three restaurants to join Sizzler chain

SLRT, operator of Sizzler Restaurants under the Minor Food Group, will open three new branches costing at least Bt60 million, making a total of 32 restaurants.

Two will be in Bangkok and the third upcountry. All will be 400-600 square metres in size.

General manger John Heinecke said the restaurant-chain market had a better outlook this year, because consumer confidence was rising following election of the new government.

The company has lifted its marketing budget from Bt60 million to Bt100 million.
