Decisions are the ripples on your pond

Imagine a pond of water. You pick up a pebble and throw it into the pond. What happens? Ripples that spread out 360 degrees, and once they reach the shore, if they have enough power, they'll return to where they began. You caused those ripples, not the stone, and

Decisions are the ripples on your pond

there's no way of stopping the ripples once you've cast the stone.

Think of the pebble as a decision you make, and the ripples as the consequences. We are all responsible for the ripples we create - you can't blame the pebble.

Now imagine a frog sitting on a lotus leaf in the pond. He sees your ripples coming and now he has a decision to make: He can remain sitting on the leaf or jump in the water. If the frog jumps, there are more ripples, and who is responsible for them -both you and the frog!

We all make many decisions every day, and most of our decisions affect other people. There are always ripples created with each decision, and the ripples will eventually - good or bad - always return to the source ... you.

We each create our own karma and cannot blame others. Think before you throw! That's the real key.
