Samak urged to take legal action against Seripisut

Two political groups petitioned Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej Monday to launch a disciplinary investigation against Pol General Seripisut Temiyavej over protests outside the premises of Privy Council Chief General Prem Tinsulanonda

They also alleged Seripisut involved in specification rigging in motorcycle bidding worth Bt12 billion.

Somyos Prueksakasemsuk, chairman of the June 24 Democracy Group, said his team suspected that Seri, then the national police chief, instructed police officers to use force to suppress protesters.

Natchapol Rojtaworn, chairman of the National Media Network against Graft also petitioned Samak to check the National Police Commission bidding process. He suspected irregularities in the specification for motorcycles and in the bidding process.
