Commerce promotes investment in India

The Commerce Ministry will host a conference on March 27 in Phuket to woo Thai enterprises to invest in India. More conferences are planned for Khon Kaen, Chanthaburi and Bangkok.

Noppadon Sarawasi, deputy director-general of the Trade Negotiations Department, said that the conferences are aimed at offering the new perspectives on the Indian market to Thai companies.

Speaking at the conferences are experts from the private and public sectors, as well as experienced businessmen. Representatives from the Board of Investment will also provide investment details in potential areas like construction and tourism.
