Charoen buys into ThaiBev shares

Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi has bought into Thai Beverage shares in the Singapore Exchange, with a lot of 500,000 shares purchased on Monday.

The Straits Times reported that transaction raised his deemed stake to 9.53 billion shares, or 37.96 per cent of issued share capital. Charoen also has a direct interest of 3.16 billion shares, or 12.57 per cent of Thai Beverage.

Charoen has been a frequent buyer of Thai Beverage stock of late. In January alone, he bought more than 75 million shares at between 23.9 cents and 25.3 cents.
