Taweechok Lalitsasivimol, senior manager for mobile phones at LG Electronics (Thailand), yesterday said the company would launch about 30 models this year, up from 20 last year.
It will also team up with local partners to expand its LG-brand mobile shops to 20 nationwide in the first half of the year, from only one now.
Of the one million phones, 40 per cent would be high-end models.
The new products this year will cover all segments with prices starting from under Bt2,000 and exceeding Bt20,000.
Last year LG, which had 4 per cent of the market, sold about 500,000 mobile phones worth Bt2 billion.
