Boonsak has good draw

The prospects of local ace Boonsak Ponsana progressing in the singles competition of the All England Super Series, which gets underway today in Birmingham, is quite bright due to a favourable draw.

A win over Sato Shoji of Japan in the opener will earn the Thai world No 12 a second-round match-up with Indonesia's Sony Dwi Kuncoro, who is ranked 6th in the world.  In the mixed doubles, Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thungthongkam are likely to meet Chinese Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen, world No 4, in the quarter-finals.
