Eat more eggsHen breeders have called on the government to set up a school egg project to encourage consumption, because they are facing losses from the rising cost of raw materials.
Bulsiri Suwannashin, director of Chiang Mai's Egg Hen Farmers' Club, yesterday said such a project would prompt people to eat more eggs.
"Eggs are one of the best protein sources people can buy. A boost in demand would help curb farmers' losses," he said.

The CFIA said it would continue random checks, and if it still found chemical residue, the Canadian government would ban the goods.
