Thailand faces stagflation

Thai well-known economist guru Dr Virabongsa Ramangkura stress today that Thailand is facing stagflation and it will carry on through the next two years as the government's wrong financial policy.



The country's continued economic slump and high inflation has the major cause of recession.

"It hard to be solved. The government's wrong financial policy has focused on maintain the baht value rather than encourage export, which is the most important economic driven engine," he said.

Dr Virabongsa pointed that the government should reduce interest rate to weaken baht value to reduce money inflow. If the government ignores this factor, it will raise a domino effect problem to the whole economic.
