The minister has assigned the Agricultural Economics Office and the Agriculture Department to discuss with the Thai Agro Business Association the possibility of a deal with Libya by exchanging 180,000 tonnes of rice for fertiliser.

Bang Phli plant Hanwha Chemical, a South Korean chemical manufacturer, reported yesterday that it has decided to spend US$18 million (Bt581 million) to build a plant in Thailand.
The plant to produce alkali soluble resin (ASR) and emulsion will be built in Samut Prakan's Bang Phli district with the aim of starting commercial production by 2009. - The Nation

Starbucks showMore than 250 experienced baristas are hosting a coffee-tasting roadshow at 52 Starbucks branches.
"We believe that passion is the key differential between Starbucks and other players in the marketplace today," Starbucks Thailand managing director Felix Michael said yesterday.
Starbucks' "Coffee Passion" campaign, which is aimed at explaining the value behind every cup of coffee, started last Friday and runs until April 15.
It includes the first-ever "Meet the Masters" roadshow to demonstrate how to brew perfect coffee at home, how to taste and smell coffee and how to recognise coffee from different regions.
The "Geography is a Flavour" display areas focus on premium coffees.
The campaign will tell customers about the quality and sustainability of Starbucks' coffee and the expertise of its partners. - The Nation
