"We plan to introduce turnkey marketing for those imported films and distribute them through other media windows which are beyond only cinema," CEO Surapong Tiamchanchai said yesterday.
"They include all potential media, such as free and cable TV, magazines and digital content. The goal is to generate bigger revenue for the company."
The new titles that will hit cinemas some time this year include "Black Swindler", "20th-Century Boys", "Sex is Zero 2" and "Blood: The Last Vampire".
The multiple-window strategy will help boost the company's revenue by 25 per cent to Bt400 million this year, he said.
M Pictures will focus on two businesses - movies and marketing management - to cover all lifestyle media.
For the movie business, the company will import and distribute foreign blockbusters as well as launch sponsorship activities for them. It will also produce Thai films, either with its own capital or as a joint production with partners.
Marketing management will mainly entail film distribution, which will extend to retail networks for home-entertainment products. The company already manages home-entertainment stores owned by the Pacific Marketing and Entertainment Group.
