The seminar from March 2-5 is being organised jointly by National Defence Studies Institute and the Institute of Strategy and International Security.

The participants will be from the armed forces and academic world in 25 Asia-Pacific countries, as well as from international organisations. They will discuss transnational issues related to peace-keeping, energy and environmental security, among others.

Supreme Commander Gen Boonsrang Niumpradit will deliver the opening remarks, to be followed by a keynote speech on "Asia-Pacific Strategic Challenges in the Next Decade" by Asean secretary-general Surin Pitsuwan.

The seminar aims to strengthen dialogue on international security and build a lasting network among the participants, leading to concrete cooperation and action.
