Jaitana Sriwangpon, deputy managing director of station co-operator Wilai Centre & Sons Co, said reports had come in of 19 motorcycles being stolen in Bangkok and nearby provinces between January 1 and February 24.
Of these, eight were Yamaha Fino motorcycles.
The others were six Honda Click, four Yamaha Mio and one Yamaha Nuvo.
"It was also found that Yamaha Fino motorcycles formed the lion's share of stolen motorcycles last year with 26 reported cases," he said.
It was followed by Yamaha Mio with 25 cases.
"Nineteen Honda Click, 12 Yamaha Nuvo, 12 Honda Wave and 8 Honda Sonic were also among those stolen," he said.
The station received reports of 105 stolen motorcycles in Bangkok and nearby provinces last year.
Motorcycle owners called FM 91 using its hotlines 1644 and (02) 562 0033/4 to report the incidents.
The owners said the robbers were aged between 14 and 28.
They tailed the owners on other motorcycles before forcing them to abandon the vehicle.
If they tried to flee on the motorcycles, the robbers threatened to attack them.
The Fino, with its "retro-look" is considered to be the most trendy.
