The men, identified as Liao Jing Tao, 41, and Yu Xiaw Chue, 39, were arrested at two renowned transvestite show venues, Tiffany and Alcazar.

Pattaya District Police commander Pol General Noppadol Wongnom said the men were accused of stealing valuables from tourists while they took photographs with performers in front of the cabaret halls.

A Russian man, Janis Zelca, 34, was one of their alleged victims. He said Bt100,000 was stolen as he took photographs of Alcazar performers.

Meanwhile Chen Chih Pang, 32, from Taiwan and Leo Saleeneen, 44, from Finland also claimed to have had valuables taken while snapping pictures of the entertainers.

Noppadol said police had found stolen property on the two men. He suspected they were working with a criminal network.

Police said four other Chinese were suspected of preying on tourists in Pattaya.

Noppadol said most of the pickpockets pretended to be tourists at entertainment places where foreign visitors gathered.
