

Suan Sil Baan Din Art Centre and Patravadi Theatre continue their "All About Arts" festival series from tonight until Sunday at the Chet Samian train station community in Photharam district, Ratchaburi Province.
Starting tonight, the festival features a variety of contemporary dance performances and traditional music, which were featured at the recent Bangkok Fringe Festival.
Led by Patravadi Mejudhon, the drama "Sang Thong" will be staged tonight and Sunday. Manop Meejamras's "Wan Thong" will be performed on Saturday. "Austria's only Haitian dancer", Karine LaBel will restage her Snake Dance, while American Shannon Hancock will show her contemporary dance work. There is also a wide range of works by local artists on offer.

Blues in Phuket
The Phuket International Blues Rock Festival kicks off tonight at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa. The two-day festival has expanded to about a dozen bands, showcasing 10 local bands and topping it off with an American headline act each night. Performers include Bangkok's Soi Dog Blues Band, Georgia Blues Band, Full House and Cannonball as well as The Blues Machine from Pattaya and Boy Blues Band from Chiang Mai. From Koh Samui comes Li'l Willie & The Fabulous Hepcats and the festival has also secured one of Australia's top blues acts, Salty Dog.
American headliners are Bonnie Anderson and The Groove Doctors, assisted by Hollywood writer and blues-shouter Jimmy Fame. The Rich Harper Band from Los Angeles, which has gathered a strong following in Thailand over the past two years, will return to headline tonight with their usual fiery style. Tomorrow night will see another top US blues act: Shari Puorto from southern California.
The shows start at 6pm. Tickets are Bt700 for one night, Bt1,000 for both nights and Bt3,000 for VIP seating. Part of the proceeds will go to the education of underprivileged children in Phuket.

Revering the body
Thaweesak Srithongdee returns to the local art scene with his show "Strawberry" opening at 7 tonight at J Gallery on Thonglor Soi 15.
Thaweesak expresses his worldview through figurative pop paintings and raw cartoon fantasies with his signature nude muscular males and big-breasted females against vibrant backdrops. The show features 40 paintings with a piece of video work.
The show runs until March 3. The gallery is open daily from 11am to 7pm.

Maroon 5, which won this year's Grammy Award for the best performance by a band, will perform at 8pm on March 3 at Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani. The quintet stops in Bangkok as part of their "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" world tour, promoting their second album.
This sophomore outing is "sexier", "stronger" and even "lyrically darker" than their debut "Songs About Jane", according to vocalist-guitarist Adam Levine, who says the album's music is "rooted in what we've always been, which is different".
