Don Mueang not for low-cost carriers

Deputy Transport Minister Songsak Thongsri said on Friday that he is against the idea of turning Don Mueang Airport into the low-cost airline hub, citing that it would result in inconvenience to travellers.

He said on Friday that the congestion at Suvarnabhumi Airport is manageable. He also noted that Airports of Thailand Plc also has the plan to expand the airport to accommodate more travellers.

AOT proposed at turning all low-cost flights to Don Mueang to ease the congestion.
