President Sinn Phonghanyudh yesterday said as many as 330,000 visitors were expected.

Some 600 booths, both domestic and from abroad, will showcase innovative construction materials under the theme "Friendly with the Environment" at the expo.

Up to 50 of the exhibitors will come from 30 places around the world, including China, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and the Middle East.

"Challenger Hall hiked its rent from Bt140 per square metre to Bt150, but we did not increase our charges for the exhibitors, because we want to help our customers and also encourage more activities for the event," Sinn said.

The association estimates 30,000 suppliers and traders will join the Trading Day on April 29. "We believe the event will create more ideas and deals," Sinn said.
