The land belonging to the National Housing Authority (NHA) was given a Bt68-million budget by the Surayud Chulanont administration to make eight athletic fields, but the project was put on hold with the change in government, Minister Sutha Chansaeng said yesterday.
He will discuss the use of the space with the NHA, possibly dividing it into three sections for youth activities.
One would host "Xtreme" sports such as roller blades and extreme bikes, another would be used as an activity field and the remaining area would contain four of the original athletic fields. The new plan should be ready in one month, Sutha added.
