Addax Development unveiled a show unit last weekend at an event attended by business executives, prospective buyers and tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan and his wife Natalie Glebova.
Company director Jan Van Houtven said The Lakes would offer resort-style living with a low-rise and low-density concept. Two seven-storey buildings will be constructed on 14 rai of land, with the golf-course landscaping all around.
The condominium will have four types of units - one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom residences ranging in size from 71 to 195 square metres as well as 11 penthouses ranging in size from 205 to 275 square metres.
Construction is expected to begin within the next four months and will be completed next year. Prices will range from Bt80,000 to Bt95,000 per square metre, or Bt3.9 million to nearly Bt30 million in total. Already, 35 per cent of the project has been presold to equal numbers of foreign and Thai buyers, Van Houtven said. The units will be fitted with a variable refrigerant volume air-conditioning system, bathroom suites, kitchen appliances and 2.7-metre floor-to-ceiling insulated and laminated windows to allow panoramic views of the surrounding golf course and countryside.
Van Houtven said the project was a prestigious development designed to appeal to those who wished to live in a contemporary home, complemented by a range of first-class sporting and recreational facilities.
In addition to the golf course, owners will have access to tennis courts, a fitness centre, sala pavilions and a large free-form swimming pool with a man-made beach and a barbecue area.
The Lakes will be surrounded by four fairways and multiple water features, and will be approached directly through the golf course entrance.
The project's views will include Buddha Mountain to the east and Bang Saray Beach to the south.
