IELTS Online Results Service for British Council Test Centres

The British Council has started posting the IELTS results on-line in addition to sending a paper copy of the results by mail.

"Previously IELTS candidates were able to receive the IELTS results in person 13 days after the test date or they received by post about 18 to 20 days after the test date. Now we have made these results available on-line," said Supanee Boonpakorn, examination service manager of the British Council Thailand.

This new on-line results service allows IELTS candidates at the British Council test centres to view their results online on the 13th day of the test. Results which are more than 4 weeks old will automatically be deleted from the on-line database.

"If a candidate has not viewed his or her result within 28 days of the result being posted on-line then they will have already been informed by post," added the examination service manager.

The British Council has also informed candidates that the on-line result is provisional and should not be used as an official confirmation.

"This facility is on trial right now. The British Council will not accept any responsibility in the event that your result fails to display, whether due to a technical fault or administrative procedure."

The candidates need to submit minimal information to access their on-line results: the candidate number, passport or ID card number, date of birth and the examination date.

To access your results please go to the IELTS On-line Results webpage and follow the instructions: http://ielts-results.britishcouncil.org/
