"Our sex education will focus on activities that make children aware of their values and honour," Obec secretarygeneral Khunying Kasama Varawarn said yesterday.
Currently, Obec is also holding public hearings to gather opinions on how best to develop its central curriculum.
"We are gathering opinions in the North, the South and the Northeast," Kasama said.
She said Obec hoped to launch the revised curriculum in the 2009 academic year, so the process of gathering public opinion must be completed before April.
"We have to meet and train school administrators and teachers in April," she said.
Kasama said the revised curriculum benefit small schools, where usually one teacher has to teach many subjects.
"During the upcoming school holidays, we plan to introduce the revised curriculum in about 800 small schools as an experiment," she added.
