Luang Por Panya dies at age 85
Phra Ubali Khunupamajarn, or Luang Phor Panya, the revered abbot from Nakhon Pathom's Wat Rai Khing, died yesterday from acute myocardial infarction at the age of 85.

Luang Phor Panya passed away at 12.55am at Mettapracharak Hospital in Sam Phran district and his body was moved yesterday morning to a special building in the hospital for disciples, including senior officials, to pay their respects.
Members of the public will be allowed to pay their respects from 8am to 5pm today before the body is taken to Wat Rai Khing for a traditional funeral.
