Your career is one of the factors to consider when deciding what kind of car is right for you. Padungsak Kitwanidkajohn's mix of
several careers led him to decide to go with a Mazda RX7.
Padungsak is a university lecturer, the owner of a health business and an actor, with a lifestyle that led him to choose the RX7 over a multi-purpose vehicle.
"I used to drive a Toyota Wish, but then I looked for a car that was more flexible to meet with my increasing activities," he says.
Given the notorious traffic jams in Bangkok, it was not convenient to drive on metropolitan roads. With that use of the car out of the way, the sporty compact met Pradungsak's demands.
"Also, I'm single, so a Japanese sporty two-door made sense. The Mazda RX7, assembled in 1993, still has a beautiful design. With the engine in the trunk and the rear-wheel drive layout, the car's maintenance is easy.
Even though it was produced more than a decade ago, the car's accessories give it a modern look."
The RX7 has a unique 1.3-litre twin turbo-rotor engine that can pump out more than 250 horsepower. "It doesn't guzzle oil if I don't rev up its speed," he said.
The Mazda RX7 is known for its sleek styling, unique rotary engine and affordable price.
Given its powerful engine, Padungsak had the car's suspension tuned up and put on 17-inch wheels sized 215/17/50.
"I use this car more often than I would a four-door, as it's suitable for my single life," he added.
