Fund manager Thada Martin said it would today send letters of apology to the girl's family and the policeman for the errors.
He said entering incorrect identity card numbers on the loan forms probably caused the error.
"The total number of students that borrow money from the fund is 14,000 and we have found errors with just the two after an initial inspection. The fund will examine the errors in detail this week," Thada said.
The dead girl's father, Lt-Colonel Prajin Chatjoho, complained to Muang Nakhon Ratchasima police on Saturday after receiving the fund's letter demanding his daughter repay a Bt65,000 loan. His daughter died 26 years ago aged 18 months.
The demand asked for her repayments to start with Bt26,000 by March 31. If she failed to do so, the fund would revoke the loan and collect the entire amount.
In addition, police Senior Sgt-Major Nikhom Jaemsuwan complained to Muang Ratchaburi police on February 5 that the fund was demanding he repay Bt12,056.
He graduated more than 30 years ago, and never took out a student loan.
Thada said anybody finding errors should call the 1597 hotline.
He said the mistakes would not affect the fund or the Income Contingent Loan scheme.
The fund will adequately explain the mistakes, he added.
