Fire-truck cash ready
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will make the third payment on its purchase of fire trucks from Austrian manufacturer Steyr Daimler Puch next Monday.

Deputy Bangkok governor Phanich Wikitsate said funds for the Bt600 million payment, 60 per cent of which comes from the Interior Ministry, which oversees the BMA, were ready for the transaction.
The fourth payment, out of nine, will have to be made within the next six months. The BMA paid Steyr Daimler Puch Bt845 million last February and another Bt743 million last August.
