Siam City Cement reported a consolidated 2007 net profit of Bt3.23 billion, or Bt14.05 per share, down from Bt3.91 billion, or Bt16.68 per share, in 2006, the company reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday.

Last year's consolidated net sales and total revenue were Bt22.8 billion and Bt23.1 billion, respectively, down from Bt23.65 billion and Bt23.96 billion in 2006.

This was a decrease of 3.6 per cent and 3.6 per cent, respectively, and due mainly to lower domestic cement sales, the company said.

Last year's consolidated expenses showed cost of sales at Bt16.37 billion, up 0.61 per cent from Bt16.27 billion in 2006.

This is mainly a result of higher fuel and electricity costs, Siam City Cement said.
