An informed source said yesterday that none of the 300 passengers was harmed but some complained they were not told what had happened by THAI officials and had to wait four hours for transportation to a hotel, where they checked in at 2am. THAI president Apinant Sumaseranee said the pilot decided to shut down the engine and returned for an emergency landing shortly after the aircraft took off at 6pm from the Chinese airport.
