Lee Cafe to branch out abroad

Lee Cafe, a modern Chinese cuisine, plans to branch out its shops into Singapore and Japan in the second half of this year.

Nutchaya Lee, public relation manager, said on Tuesday that the company has been in talks with local partners in those countries. Lee Cafe might consider a franchise business type in stead of establishing a joint venture because franchising can manage the quality control and production cost easier than the joint venture.

She said that many business persons in Asian countries such as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Indonesia have approached the company to open Lee Café shops there. Most of them were clients of the shop.

"We also intend to enlarge our business in overseas market. Thus, after those former clients contacted us and show their interests to introduce Lee Cafe in their countries, we decided to do in what we used to dream," she said.
