SET to hit the road in Japan

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will hold its first roadshow of the year in Japan next month.

Published on January 30, 2008

The roadshow is aimed at putting the stock market on the radar screens of foreign investors and opening up opportunities for listed companies to present their information.

SET president Patareeya Benjapholchai yesterday declined to say whether it would be accompanied by the new government's economic team.

The SET will coordinate with securities firms with a Japanese consumer base, including Capital Nomura Securities and United Securities.

A roadshow in the Middle East is also in the pipeline, as countries in that region have high potential, said Patareeya.
