
The move follows better political and economic climates as well as more aggressive launch of new product innovations, which cater different segments and lifestyles of Thai consumers.
The company last year achieved Bt6.8 billion in sales of audiovisual products and another Bt3.7 billion for white goods. It targeted sales of audiovisual products to reach Bt9.2 billion this year and another Bt4.9 billion sales from white goods.
About 10 per cent of sales target, or nearly Bt1.5 billion, have been set as marketing budget to encourage sales of its audiovisual and whitegood products next year.
"We are delight that Thailand has already passed the general election process and we hope that the new government will take serious concern on solving both economic and social problems. We are confident that the overall economy and consumers' confidence will be recovered after setting back for two to three years," said Arnut Changtrakul, deputy managing director of Thai Samsung Electronics.
