SET up 1.41% on Tuesday

Thai share prices closed 1.41 per cent higher on Tuesday as they recovered some of their losses from the previous trading session.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index rose 10.51 points to 754.87 and the blue-chip SET-50 gained 9.11 points to 542.70, on turnover of Bt14.5 billion.

The Thai bourse rose in line with regional markets amid hopes for a US interest rate cut this week.

Banpu Plc, PTT Plc, Siam Commercial Bank, PTT Aromatics Plc and PTT Exploration and Production Plc are the most active stocks.
